I my girlfriend may be buying a smurf blue miata with an OEM hardtop, painted blue obviously... But she would rather sell it and just used the soft top.
Tell her to keep it. Smurf blue is fairly rare and to have a matching hardtop ups the resale value of the car immensely. The car also looks infinitely better with the hardtop on it. Even if she just wants to use the soft top, store the hardtop in a garage or something.
That's what I told her... I didn't try to convince her too much, but now I will.
If the hard top boosts the value so much, how come this is still pretty cheap? Or is it not that cheap? It sounds like a good deal, assuming everything checks out and it really does have a clean title. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/2608990840.html
Ah. What if I were to buy that one, sell the top, sell the rims, and buy stockers, then sell the miata for way less.
Then use that money to buy a different one.
Buy that one for $2500
Sell the top for $1000
Sell the rims/tires for $350
Buy OEM rims for $200
Then sell the stock miata for like... $2000? for $650 profit?
Or does that sound completely retarded and incorrect?n
